Puppy Questionnaire

Thank you for your interest in owning a SoXo Xoloitzcuintli !

We ask that all those interested in a puppy from us first fill out this questionnaire. Filling this out is in no way a guarantee for a spot on our waitlist, nor is it in any way binding. It is strictly to start the conversation and help us decide if you'd be a suitable home for one of our puppies, and help you decide if we are the breeder you'd like a puppy from. 

The Process

Our wait-list is informal, meaning that I do not require a deposit or other commitment to add you to it. It simply means I add you to my email list for updates regarding litters and availability. When a litter has been born, I will start reaching out to everyone on the wait-list to confirm interest. Those interested will then be scheduled for a phone interview, so we can discuss in detail what your home is like and what you're looking for in a dog. 

When the litter is 7 weeks of age a temperament evaluation is performed by a third party professional. At 8 weeks of age the litter is structurally evaluated, which determines which puppies are going to be suitable for the show ring, and which are more likely to be placed on Limited (non-breeding) registrations. 

Once these evaluations are done I will reach out to those who I believe I have an appropriate match for. A $500 deposit is expected to be placed at this time, with the remaining $2,000 due by go-home. This deposit goes to the cost of feeding and vetting the puppies before they are ready to go to their new homes at 12 weeks of age. 

Puppies are placed very strictly on the basis of suitability. We will do our best to match puppies to the best home for them, where they will be able to realize their potential as companions, show dogs, and/or performance dogs.
